FOLKS UPSET OVER FARRAH SNUB!

The internet was abuzz yesterday over the apparent snub of Farrah Fawcett in Oscars' "In Memoriam" segment Sunday night. Farrah's longtime beau Ryan O'Neal told Radaronline, "It was a terrible decision and very hurtful. Farrah was a member of the Academy for over 40 years and we could not believe she did not get a mention." Jane Fonda was also shocked at the omission, tweeting, "Where was Farrah Fawcett? She should have been included." Added critic Roger Ebert, "They have a whole lot of 'spaining to do." Star Jones also chimed in, tweeting, "FYI…Farrah had a very diverse career…that included Broadway, TV & Film." Well, Oscar bosses defended their decision, although their excuse was pretty lame. Bruce Davis, the executive director of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, explained, "It is the single most troubling element of the Oscar show every year. Because more people die each year than can possibly be included in that segment."

THE STORY BEHIND OSCAR'S KANYE MOMENT!

Forget about the battle between Hurt Locker and Avatar, what viewers can't stop talking about is the woman who pulled a Kanye West at the Oscars, abruptly stealing the microphone from Documentary Short director Roger Ross Williams in the middle of his acceptance speech for Music by Prudence. Well, Salon.com got the lowdown on what actually happened. Seems the woman, journalist Elinor Burkett, had worked on Prudence before leaving the film over creative differences. The Academy only allows one person to speak, and she claims Williams rushed to the stage in order to keep her from having a say. "As I'm sure you saw, when he won he raced up there to accept the award," Burkett told Salon. "And his mother took her cane and blocked me. So I couldn't get up there very fast." But Williams says that's not what happened. He claims Burkett, "was removed from the project nearly a year ago," and the publicist for the Academy decided he was the one who'd speak for the film (Burkett was invited to the ceremony because she was still a producer on the project). Said Williams, "She had no claim whatsoever. She has nothing to do with the movie." As for claims his mother tried to block Burkett, Williams explains, "My mother got up to hug me. And my mother is 87-years-old. She was excited."

MO'NIQUE TURNS DIVA ON BARBARA!

Things may have appeared to be okay between Oscar winner Mo'Nique and journalist Barbara Walters on Walters' pre-Oscar special, but looks can be deceiving. "Barbara is telling friends that Mo'Nique was one of her most challenging subjects ever," insiders tell the New York Daily News. "If Barbara needed one more reason to quit the Oscar specials, Mo'Nique just gave it to her." Sources say the two stars have been on the outs since Mo'Nique made an appearance on The View, and Barbara made a crack about the actress's newborn twins. Mo'Nique apparently never forgot about it, and when Barbara asked her for the pre-Oscar interview, she agreed but with conditions. "She had very specific hair and makeup demands," said a source. "She also insisted that Barbara fly to Atlanta. Barbara usually goes to her subjects' homes…(but) Mo'Nique wouldn't let Barbara into her house." During the interview Mo'Nique was said to be "disrespectful and dismissive," as well as "rude." But Barbara claims the whole story's hogwash. "There was nothing about her that was rude," said Barbara. "It was a wonderful, funny interview. She couldn't have been more open."

SEAN PENN'S LATEST BAD BEHAVIOR?

Was Sean Penn banned from Sunday night's post-Oscars Governor's Ball? Well, that's what E! is reporting. Sources claim Sean had a backstage confrontation with Greg Shapiro, one of the Oscar-winning producers of The Hurt Locker, who just happens to be the new boyfriend of Sean's ex-wife, Robin Wright. Not long after the incident, Academy officials allegedly barred him from the party. But Sean's rep claims the rumor's not true, and that the actor had no intention of going to the ball.

WILL & GRACE STAR COMES OUT!

Ready for some "shocking" news? Will & Grace star Sean Hayes has revealed he's gay. (We know, who would have ever guessed?) The actor is on the cover of this month's Advocate magazine, and inside he discusses why it took him 12 years to acknowledge the obvious fact. "When I play a gay character I want to be as believable as possible," said Hayes. "And when I’m playing a straight character I also want to be as believable as possible. So the less that people know about my personal life, the more believable I can be as a character." Hayes got a lot of flak from the gay community for not publicly coming out before this, but he doesn't understand why. "I am who I am. I was never in, as they say. Never," he said. "Why would you go down that path with somebody who’s done so much to contribute to the gay community? That was my beef about it. What more do you want me to do? Do you want me to stand on a float? And then what? It’s never enough."

SIMON PLANNING SUMMER WEDDING?

Now that Simon Cowell has decided to settle down with Mezhgan Hussainy, he's wasting no time walking down the aisle. The Mail claims that the American Idol judge wants to tie the knot this summer, but he's running into a bit of a scheduling conflict. Seems his good friend, and America's Got Talent judge, Piers Morgan, is also planning to wed this summer (to writer Celia Walden). "Piers and Simon have lots of friends in common and want to make sure their dates don't coincide because they both want to be at each other's wedding," said a source. "It's turned into a bit of a joke between them over who's going to send out save-the-date cards first." Sources say Simon is looking at possibly getting hitched in August, while Piers is interested in July.

SIENNA KEEPING HER EYES ON JUDE!

Sienna Miller is back with Jude Law but she's not about to let him out of her sight. Sienna infamously broke off her engagement to Jude back in 2005, after he was caught cheating with the nanny, and now that she's taken him back, Sienna's making sure it doesn't happen again. The UK press claims that Sienna is moving to America this summer while Jude shoots a new movie alongside Marion Cotillard and Kate Winslet. "Sienna is determined to make it work with Jude this time," a source tells The Mail. "She loves him and wants them to stay together, so she is prepared to move wherever he is."

CHAOS AT THE JACKSON HOME!

Last week's allegations that one of Jermaine Jackson's kids tried to stun gun Michael's son Blanket is just a taste of the bad behavior that is going on at the California home of the singer's mother Katherine. Sources tell Radaronline that Michael's three kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket, are living in a chaotic environment, with little or no parental control. Seems several other Jackson grandchildren live in the home, and their parents do nothing to discipline them. "Jermaine and Randy are the biggest ego-maniacal, self-centered people that have ever walked the face of the earth," said a source. "They're not raising their kids." And things are just too crazy for the 80-year-old Katherine to control. "Ms. Jackson is wonderful, loving and committed to her family, but the other children don't get the supervision they need from their parents and it's hard for Katherine to change their behavior," explains the insider. And the situation is very troubling for Michael's kids. Said the source, "This is not something (they're) used to. They were brought up in a loving home. They're not used to experiencing this kind of violence."

PINK FLOYD's "THE WALL" RETURNS TO THE STAGE

Roger Waters will re-stage Pink Floyd's "The Wall" on tour. RollingStone.com says that 30 years after the initial four-city trek, Roger is set to build and destroy the giant wall every night all over the United States. No dates or venues have been announced yet. Guitarist David Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason will not be involved, and keyboard player Rick Wright is quite dead.

JOHN LENNON FILM WILL NOT BE RELEASED HERE

"Nowhere Boy," the British film about the pre-Beatles years of a young John Lennon will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 10th...but only in the UK. However, Blu-rays don't have region coding, so you'll be able to watch "Nowhere Boy" on your Blu-ray player.

MICK JAGGER AND ANGELINA JOLIE: A ROLL IN THE HAY, OR TWO?

Mick Jagger had an affair with Angelina Jolie...twice. That's according to a new book, "Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: The True Story." Mick allegedly slept with the then relatively unknown actress in 1997 after she appeared in the music video for the Rolling Stones' single, "Anybody Seen My Baby." Then, they got it on again in 2003. That's two years after Angelina started her relationship with Brad Pitt. Mick was with Jerry Hall in both instances.

SMALL CLUB GIGS FOR GUNS N' ROSES

Guns N' Roses will do three small venue concerts in South America this month. Guns' 11-show tour of South America began on Sunday in Brasilia.

MILES DAVIS BIOPIC IS A GO

A biopic on the late jazz legend Miles Davis is definitely up and running. The Hollywood Reporter says Don Cheadle will play Miles and also direct the film. Herbie Hancock, who played piano and keyboards with the trumpeter for many years is writing the score. Production was halted on the project because Don was not happy with the script. A new screnwriter has been brought in, and as soon as Don and the Davis family sign off on it, the cameras will roll.
